xeric steppe and subdesert-steppe species

Continental Palearctic species from the subdesert-steppe and steppes and also a great invader of the subdesert-steppe grasslands from the Rocky Mountains, North America. This subspecies occupies the western range of the species (the Euro-Kazahstan steppes).

typical for R3418 habitat

In Romania common in the steppe and forest-steppe in Dobrudja, Moldavia and eastern Valachia; present also in the upper part of the steep sunny slopes of southern and central Transylvania 

 

A typical species for the most xeric grasslands of the continental Palearctis, from eastern Central Europe and the Mediterranean up to Mongolia.
